Nowadays, more and more young people choose to explore Europe by train instead of travelling by plane or car. Although rail travel has some drawbacks, I believe that it offers many important advantages for international journeys.
One of the biggest benefits of travelling by train is comfort. Passengers can move around freely, read books, work on their laptops or admire the views. Unlike airports, railway stations are usually located in city centres, which makes travelling more convenient and less stressful. In addition, trains are considered an environmentally friendly means of transport because they produce less pollution than planes or cars. Another advantage is the opportunity to meet people from different countries. Young travellers often make new friends during long journeys and share their experiences with others.
However, there are also some disadvantages connected with rail travel. Firstly, international train tickets can sometimes be expensive, especially if they are bought at the last minute. Secondly, travelling by train often takes much longer than flying. This can be tiring for people who want to visit many places in a short time. Another disadvantage is the possibility of problems with connections. If one train is delayed, passengers may miss their next train and have to wait many hours. Delays and overcrowded trains may also make the journey less enjoyable.
To sum up, travelling around Europe by train has both advantages and disadvantages. Despite certain inconveniences, it is an excellent way for young people to explore foreign countries because it combines comfort, adventure and unforgettable experiences.

The Match I Will Never Forget
Last Saturday, I finally attended the football match I had dreamed about for years - the final between two of the best European teams. Getting a ticket was extremely difficult, so when I entered the stadium, I knew it would be a truly unforgettable experience.
From the very beginning, the atmosphere was incredible. Thousands of fans were singing, waving flags and cheering loudly for their teams. The players entered the pitch full of energy, and the match started at an amazing pace. In the first half, both teams created several dangerous chances, but the goalkeepers played brilliantly. Just before the break, one striker scored a spectacular goal from outside the penalty area, and the crowd exploded with excitement.
The second half was even more dramatic. The losing team attacked continuously and finally equalised ten minutes before the end of the match. When everybody expected extra time, the winning side scored another goal in the final minute. Fans jumped, shouted and hugged complete strangers. I had never experienced such emotions before.
In my opinion, watching sports events live is much better than seeing them on television. At the stadium, you can truly feel the emotions of the players and supporters. The atmosphere, the noise and the reactions of the crowd create memories that no TV broadcast can provide. That is why attending this match was one of the best experiences of my life and I encourage every sports fan to do the same.

Matura 2026 z rozszerzonego angielskiego. Jak ją zdać?
Zdający maturę z angielskiego na poziomie rozszerzonym mogą zdobyć maksymalnie 60 punktów. Dla testu tego nie ustanowiono progu zdawalności. Wynik poniżej 30 proc. nie oznacza zatem, że matura jest niezdana.
Uczniowie walczą jednak o jak najlepszy wynik, bo ten ma znaczenie w trakcie procesu rekrutacji na wybrane kierunki studiów.

Wśród przedmiotów do wyboru są: biologia, chemia, filozofia, fizyka, geografia, historia, historia sztuki, historia muzyki, informatyka, język łaciński i kultura antyczna, wiedza o społeczeństwie, języki mniejszości narodowych i etnicznych, język regionalny, a także matematyka, język polski i języki obce nowożytne.
Wśród tegorocznych maturzystów - podobnie jak w latach ubiegłych - najczęściej wybieranym przedmiotem zdawanym na poziomie rozszerzonym jest język angielski, na drugim miejscu - matematyka, a na trzecim - geografia.
Centralna Komisja Egzaminacyjna wyniki tegorocznych matur ogłosi 8 lipca. Tego też dnia maturzyści poznają swoje indywidualne wyniki i otrzymają świadectwa maturalne.
